Vincent Audley Hackley (IX)

Vince, the compiler of this family history, represents the ninth generation in this line, and was born in Prince George's County, Maryland, the only child of Audley and Betty Hackley. It is of interest to note that Vince was born in the same county, and only about 10 miles from where his 6^th great-grandfather, John Ridgway, the progenitor of this line, lived and farmed during the 17^th and early 18^th centuries. Vince grew up, first in Laurel, a small town on the Patuxant River in northern Prince George's County, and later in Scaggsville, a once rural crossroads in nearby Howard County. The adjoining photograph was taken on Easter Day of 1962 in Laurel. Vince, shown in the middle, now lives with his wife Patricia in Frederick County, Maryland.
